About Us

At The Little Years, we provide bilingual pediatric speech and language services in English and Spanish for children and families throughout Chula Vista and surrounding South County communities.

Services are provided in the comfort of your home and in natural environments within the community, allowing therapy to fit naturally into your child’s everyday routines. We also place a strong emphasis on parent coaching, giving caregivers practical strategies they can use during everyday interactions to support their child’s speech & language development.

As a San Diego native, Melissa Lagman, M.S., CCC-SLP, is passionate about supporting children and bilingual families in her community. She holds a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and licensed in California. Over the years, she has supported early communicators, school-aged children and teens, including Autistic and ADHD individuals and those who use a variety of communication methods.
